Tribute to Ron Kenoly, 1944-2026

This week, the Christian community mourns and celebrates the life of Ron Kenoly, one of the most influential worship leaders of the past 35 years. At 81, he has been “promoted to glory,” leaving behind a legacy of music that has shaped worship for millions around the world, and he now sees the Lord as in in his song.
I was fifteen or sixteen when I first discovered Ron Kenoly’s music—shortly after the release of his amazing 1994 album, God Is Able. I remember watching the live performance video at youth camp, and his music has been a source of inspiration and encouragement ever since, drawing me closer to God.
Choosing just one favorite song from his extensive catalog is nearly impossible—his music is a tapestry of faith, joy, and reverence.
Here’s my personal “top 10(ish)” list of must-listen tracks (because narrowing it down to 10 was too hard!). Take a moment to listen, worship Jesus, and let his music inspire your heart.
What would you add to this list? Which of his songs resonates most with you?

1) I See the Lord
2) Use Me
3) Jesus is Alive
4) God is Able
5) Ancient of Days
6) Be Glorified
7) More of You
8 ) Praise the Lord All Nations
9) Mourning into Dancing
10) High Places
11) Lift Him Up
12) Winna Mon
13) Sing Outy
